Sterling F4 Descent Device
The Sterling F4 Descent Device gives firefighters an advanced, yet simple tool for emergency egress.
Designed to allow easy horizontal movement, a smooth sill transition and a controlled vertical descent. The auto-locking feature allows for a hands-free exit from the structure, while the slim profile integrates easily with turnout gear and keeps the F4 out of the way during regular operations. Versatile for right or left-handed users.
Certified to be used with ropes ranging from 7.5 mm to 8.0 mm in diameter.

1 year in review F4 Descent...
After a full year (season) of saddle hunting with the F4 Descent device I was able to put the device through some heavy use in various conditions. Under pressure climbing in trees during hot cold and wet days the F4 preformed outstanding! I never had any slippage, even under extreme days the F4 held tight. the break system is easy and smooth while repelling down. Easy control of speed and bounding can be performed with no worries of slippage or binding. Highly recommend keeping one of these in every climber's toolbox. Fast and easy to set up with minimal mechanical parts to fail like other products on the market.
