Tempest BB-16 Standard Milwaukee Battery-Powered Firefighter Ventilation Fan

The Tempest BB-16 Standard Battery-Powered Fan is a compact positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan designed for smoke removal, confined-space ventilation, and controlled airflow during fireground operations. Powered by MILWAUKEE® M18™ REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ batteries, it supports portable deployment with shore power capability for continuous use.

Built for Targeted Ventilation

Battery-powered PPV fans are commonly used by fire departments for interior ventilation, overhaul, and confined-space operations where portability and rapid setup are critical. The BB-16 is designed for controlled airflow in residential structures, below-grade environments, and restricted access areas.

Controlled Airflow with NEO Technology

The BB-16 uses NEO airflow technology, producing an oval air pattern designed to improve doorway sealing and direct airflow into structures more efficiently. This supports effective positive pressure ventilation and targeted smoke movement.

The fan utilizes 16" AirFlex fiberglass-reinforced polyamide blades to maintain consistent airflow performance.

Battery System and Runtime

This configuration operates using MILWAUKEE® M18™ REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ HD12.0 batteries, delivering approximately 48 minutes of runtime at full speed.

Shore Power Capability

The BB-16 includes standard shore power functionality, allowing continuous operation when connected to an external power source. This supports extended ventilation operations without interruption.

The lightweight frame and included shoulder strap support rapid deployment and mobility on scene. The compact design allows for storage in tight apparatus compartments and easy transport.

Adjustable Positioning and Control

The fan features an adjustable tilt range from +65° to -90°, allowing for multiple placement options including flat positioning for confined-space or manhole ventilation.

A variable-speed drive with flat keypad controls supports precise airflow adjustments during operations.

Multi-Use Versatility

The BB-16 is designed for a wide range of fire service and rescue applications, including ventilation, ducting setups, and rehabilitation airflow support.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
