Petzl ID S Descender/Belay Device, ANSI & NFPA

The Petzl ID S Descender/Belay Device, ANSI & NFPA is primarily designed for work at height and rope access work.

It has an ergonomic handle that allows comfortable descent control. The integrated anti-panic function and anti-error catch reduce the risk of an accident due to user error. The AUTO-LOCK system allows users to easily position themselves at a workstation without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device.

Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The safety gate allows the rope to be installed while the device remains connected to the harness. The I’D S is compatible with 10 to 11.5 mm ropes.

- Handle automatically switches to storage position when the rope is removed from the device, reducing the risk of accidental snagging when the descender is carried on the harness
Versatile:
- Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle, for making a reversible haul system or for easy short ascents
- Cam can be manipulated to feed out slack easily or belay a lead climber using climbing techniques
- Moving side plate locks with a screw, allowing the I’D S descender to be integrated into rescue kits
- An auxiliary brake, open or closed, may be added to improve descent control depending on the weight and rope diameter
The stainless steel wear plate improves durability by reinforcing the rope friction zone
Lowering load: Up to 150 kg for one person, and up to 272 kg when used for rescue

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
